Acadia 10G Ethernet Media Module
The 10-Gigabit Module is intended to be used
as a "BackBone" connecting two Layer2/Layer3 switches. The module
includes the following features

The 10-Gigabit Module is a double height
module, occupying two chassis slots.
Ideal applications for 10G Ethernet links include high-volume
storage-area networks and back-up segments, IP telephony,
Gigabit-backed main distribution facilities, enterprise
metropolitan-area networks (MAN), points of presence interconnected
via 1G trunks, real-time audio and video multicasting, and data
centers with switching and routing cores leveraging many 1G trunks.
